The list goes on and on. While disheartening to a parent, imagine the confusion children with learning differences feel AND the defeat they face when the words “I can’t” define their educational experience. This was the primary motivator for establishing the TAMRA Learning Academy in central Texas.
At TAMRA Learning Academy, the traditional classroom is replaced with an environment where the challenges of every student are identified and a unique learning plan is put into action. The cognitive, social, emotional and physical elements are addressed in a creative and collaborative setting. Our curriculum includes both project and assessment-based learning, resulting in a balance between academic rigor and the specific accommodations that define how a child learns.
From day one, your child will be met with an attitude of acceptance. The social skills curriculum of TAMRA Learning Academy focuses on the development of self-esteem and confidence and serves as a foundation for interpersonal growth. Low student/teacher ratios ensure our students receive both the encouragement and attention that create an optimal learning environment.

All of us are key players on a team that provide encouragement and discipline for children with learning differences. Communication is vital and the parents of TAMRA Learning Academy students can expect frequent updates on their child’s progress. We invite parents to share their observations, ideas and concerns so we can know how to best serve the challenges their children face. The individualized learning pathways we develop embrace the concept that parents and families are integral to every child’s success.
